Konapharma AG is a privately-owned company based in Pratteln, Canton of Basel, Switzerland. We offer development and manufacturing of solid dosage forms, as well as primary and secondary packaging services. We also produce and package a full range of clinical samples and hold a special licence to produce and pack narcotics.
All our services are approved by Swissmedic (Swiss Agency for Therapeutic Products), FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration), ANVISA (National Sanitary Surveillance Agency of Brasil), and TMMDA (Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency), as well as successfully audited by various international pharmaceutical companies.
Our history:
Konapharma AG was founded as a limited company in 1989 to supply customers with pharmaceutical dossiers for submission. Pharmaceutical production in controlled environments began in 1995. In 2009, the company moved its production into its newly constructed modern manufacturing plant at Wannenboden 16, Pratteln. Six years later, an extension was built to double the production area to 14,471 m². Today, Konapharma AG offers two independent bulk production plants and two primary and secondary packaging units with a large warehouse area and state-of-the-art machinery.
